Keith was very calming and made me feel extremely comfortable whilst learning to drive, making my experience very fun. I’ve had 3 driving instructors and John has been by far my favourite. I was probably one of the most nervous drivers ever when I started my lessons with him. Even after 45 hours of lessons with other instructors! However John was very calm with me and let me go at a pace which was suitable for my nerves and experience. Each lesson we would review what I did well and what I needed to improve on which made me able to know what to concentrate on in the next lesson! John was very patient and friendly, which helped my nerves a lot, making me feel at ease! And meaning we could have a bit of a laugh so it never felt awkward. He was flexible when making arrangements to suit me in the short space I was available in a day! Thanks to John I now feel a lot more confident in my ability to drive and now don&rsquot;t dread it like I used to! Brilliant driving instructor!

As a student of John’s (even though very brief) I found both his teachings methods and practices to be of complete use on the day and as such passed my driving examination first time. When I first joined top class I was a bit nervous as I hadn’t had great experiences in the past. And needless to say, I questioned majority of my manoeuvres. Also, I’m sure Keith can back me up when I say this — But I asked so many questions. Nevertheless, in the state I was in Keith managed to get me on the straight and narrow and I finally started to enjoy driving. He made me feel comfortable and at ease. He has bundles of energy and even larger amounts of patience. He has a professional manner in everything he approaches and is very accommodating. I had great fun while learning to drive with Keith, he has a great sense of humour and knows how to crack a joke or three. I would recommend Keith to anyone; he is such a lovely character. This may be the end of my driving lessons, but it won’t be the last time we meet.

Having failed my driving test a few times when I was younger, I had lost a lot of my confidence in driving and hadn’t driven for several years. This year, I wanted to try a new driving school, do an intensive course over a week, and finally pass the test. I contacted Topclass and I was immediately put in touch with Gillian, my instructor in Ipswich. She was really helpful right from the beginning, and we quickly sorted out an intensive course of lessons which fit into my schedule. Over the week Gillian was dedicated, positive, and extremely professional. I was nervous to be driving again, but Gillian was encouraging and kept me calm, and taught me everything I needed to know. I took my test on the fifth day of my intensive course, and I passed! I still feel like Gillian performed a mini-miracle!

When I first started learning to drive he made me feel immediately comfortable behind the wheel, letting me learn at my own pace and being endlessly patient, while keeping things light-hearted with his wicked sense of humour. This stuck with me during a couple of years of not driving, so when I started again it had to be Tim and even though his one-man-one-car business had expanded, he still found time to fit me in. Just wanted to leave a review for my very patient driving instructor, Keith Babbs. I had some previous experience of driving before I started lessons with Keith — but my experiences were far from positive. I lacked confidence in my abilities and judgement. Keith was amazingly patient and supportive - I think I possibly sent him slightly mad! I managed to pass my practical test (first time) with just a little over 4 months tuition from Keith. This has enabled me to consider taking a promotion at work – as well as making everyday life with the children easier.

Of the four different driving instructors that I sampled when deciding to learn to drive, Keith was the one who stood out the most because of his approachable manner, charisma, and humour. I immediately felt comfortable with him and felt safe during our driving lessons. He never pushed me too hard or made me feel stupid when I made a mistake. Keith has a wonderful bubbly personality which added to my enjoyment of a quite stressful activity. I trusted his professionalism to know that he would not put me in for a test until I was ready. Andy was a brilliant instructor and from the word go had me thinking about how the test format works. I did a week intense course which I can really recommend as you get to grips with the car so quickly allowing you to progress fast! We did a good combination of manoeuvres, city driving, dual carriage ways and general road safety each lesson. Andy’s experience shows as he works especially on your less strong points to give you the confidence you need to pass. I learnt to drive in Maidstone and passed my test first go in Herne bay which proves the skills I learnt from Andy can be demonstrated on any road with success!

I started my Driving lessons with Topclass instructor Michelle, in early Feb this year. From the onset I felt comfortable and was given clear, calm and reassuring advice throughout my learner driving experience. My driving experience with Top Class driving School was amazing. My instructor was Asha and every driving lesson was enjoyable, she was very thorough and the quality of the lessons were very good. I was taught everything I needed to know and to a good standard. Asha is a very nice driving instructor and I felt no pressure when driving the car. I felt very relaxed and when it came to taking my test I passed with only two minors. Any problems or habits that I picked up were addressed immediately and this allowed me to pass with ease and confidence and I become a much safer driver. Passing my test has opened up many doors of freedom and has made my life much more flexible. I am now able to attend any job interview without the worry of having to use public transport. Working with Ash really made my journey towards passing very easy. I am now a far better driver, it’s not just about the excitement of passing alone but ash ensured I put the work in to become a very safe driver. She broke everything down into simple comprehensible ways of driving. She was very hospitable and at no time was I under pressure working with her. First of all I would like to thank Tim from Topclass Driving School for being such a great driving instructor. Being a 1st time learner I was very nervous. On the 1st lesson Tim put me at ease straight away. He is very patient, chatty, and a great driving instructor. Tim was always reliable and very flexible with lesson times making sure you could get a driving lesson when you needed. He would always work around you and what best suits You. Tim filled me with confidence to drive on the A2 to bluewater ( which I was petrified of ) within a matter of weeks and that’s a great achievement. I will defiantly be recommending Topclass Driving School to anyone looking for driving lessons Tim made things I had found difficult with other driving instructors so much easier and lessons where always relaxed with a laugh or two along the way.

Keith was my driving instructor and I couldn't have asked for anything more from him. He slowly brought up my confidence and allowed good and quick progression with my lessons. He has a kind and friendly personality with a very good sense of humour.

After twelve years of learning how to drive on and off I finally passed today. I am so over the moon and very grateful to Tim of Topclass driving school who took the time and patience to teach me all the manoeuvres and how to drive confidentially and safely in just 3 weeks. I found him very approachable, kind and extremely efficient. Definitely the best driving instructor I have had in my twelve years of taking driving lessons. I most defiantly recommend Topclass driving school to all learner drivers and especially Tim who is ace.

I have been having driving lessons with Top Class driving instructor Sean Healy since September last year and was extremely pleased not only with the price, but also with the quality of the driving lessons. The atmosphere was relaxed and Sean made me feel comfortable in what was, at the time, a completely new experience. Sean helped me tremendously and with his help I managed to pass my practical driving test first time on the 3rd of April 2013.

Tim is a top man and a quality driving instructor. I remember when he was teaching me at AA (15 years ago) then he started Top Class driving school and I moved my lessons over too! I failed my 1st test due to a school kid running out in the road and I didn't have enough money to do the retest the following week so Tim loaned me the cash! Now that's a top bloke, I passed the retest and was very thankful to him, hats off to a top class geezer!!

Would like to say thanks to Topclass driving school I passed my test first time with Tim and only got 2 minors. I would recommend any one to learn with Tim, he was very patient and is an excellent instructor. I have enjoyed learning to drive very much, and looked forward to every lesson I had with him thanks Tim.

Passed my test with Tim 1st time after failing my test with another local driving school, I had a 10 hour intensive course over a week and Tim made it fun and enjoyable he’s a great instructor with lots of patience. I would recommend Topclass Driving School to anybody who wants to learn to drive.

Throughout my time with Alan from Topclass driving school I was taught to drive in a very professional but friendly style alans teaching style made driving very uncomplicated and I managed to Pick up the basics very quickly and went on to pass my test with only 3 minor errors I would recommend Alan to anyone as a great instructor thanks for everything.
